Phillips Carbon Black Increase Carbon Black Capacity in Gujarat, India

Phillips Carbon Black Ltd (PCBL) is investing Rs.300 crore (€40 million), to increase carbon black capacity at its Palej and Mundra facilities in Gujarat, India by 80 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) before the end of its fiscal 2019.

The RP SanJlv Goenka Group company is also evaluating plans for a greenfield project with a capacity of 120 kilotonnes per annum, chairman Sanjiv Goenka said in a press statement issued 10 Aug.

In its financial year 2017, ended 30 March, PCBL recorded its highest-ever carbon far since the inception of the Company in 1960.
