Bayer MaterialScience AG is inaugurating a toluene diisocyanate (TDI) manufacturing facility in Caojing, China that will be operational in 2009. The 160,000 tonne/y facility is said to be equipped with the most advanced technology, highlighting an innovative energy management concept and resource-conserving manufacturing processes. The project is included in an investment package for the Caojing site totalling $1.8 bn.
