On September 26, Omya GmbH (Austria) launched a EUR15m marble powder plant in Subutak district (Agapov Region, Cheljabinsk, Russia), the press-service of Cheljabinsk Economic Development Ministry said. The new plant with capacity of 150,000 tones of marble powder per year will create additional workplaces and increase tax revenues to the local and state budgets. Micromarble filling agents have a wide range of application in paints, paper production (coated litho paper) and construction engineering (bricks, dry mixes, glass, window profiles). Omya GmbH Gummern (Austria) with its five locations in five federal provinces and more than 300 employees ranks among the biggest mining companies in Austria. The company manufactures a range of products including automotive coatings, emulsion based plasters, exterior emulsion paints, industrial finishes and paints, interior emulsion paints, mineral plaster, powder coatings, printing inks.
