The Kazakhstan Government has approved regulations on estimating the damages caused by violation of subsurface protection requirements, Kazakhstan Today reported lately. Effective for all subserface users, the regulations were developed in accordance with Kazakhstan State Laws on "Environment Protection", "Subsurface Management" and "Oil Resources". Nineteen paragraphs of the regulations include general requirements for subsurface protection and order of estimating damages created by violation of subsurface protection requirements. In case of a violation, the authorised board of state officials have the right to estimate and seek damages including divergency of oil-and-gas deposit exploitation, divergency of gas condensate field exploitation, abnormal losses of valuable components during refining, subsurface pollution by dangerous chemicals, biomaterials, radioactive materials and waste products.
