Azerbaijan chemical industry 2006: development statistics

Official state statistics show that Azerbaijan produced USD6.3bn industrial applications and services in the first half 2006, with a  41.4% rise compared to the similar period in 2005. Thus, within the examined period, production output of refining industry increased by 9.8%, and the output of chemical and petrochemical industry raised by 30.5%.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Azerbaijan invested USD1.4bn in industrial projects
from which USD39.8m were put up in the chemical sector.

The highest level of monthly average earnings is fixed at the enterprises of mining, petrochemical, metallurgical, chemical and nonferrous mineral industries.
