A plant on disposal of overdue drugs to be set up in Armenia

'We are going to set up a plant  on  disposal of overdue drugs  in Armenia', stated Mnatsakan Petrosyan, a Chairman of Armenian Welfare and Environment Committee, at his meeting with Christ Terling, a head of Belgium "Medicins sans Frontiers".

"Expired medicines were accumulated after a disasterous earthquake in 1980 in Spitaka causing serious problems", he added.

Mr. Petrosyan also informed that a bill 'Concerning medical substances' is already on the table of the Armenian Parliament.

Mr.Terling in his turn said that 'MSF-B' (Medecins Sans Frontieres - Belgium) has already participated in constructing a specialised plant on safe disposal of overdue drugs in Bosnia.  He also agreed to aid  the similar project in Armenia.
