The modernization project of Titanium Dioxide production at Crimea TITAN JSC, Ukraine, covers the period up to 2010, said the media service of the company. Crimea TITAN JSC intends to carry out complex modernization of its operations by 2010, Andrei Chernenko, the head of the company corporative development department, stated in his interview to "TOP-100. The Best Ukrainian Companies" edition. "At present the realization of the projects is aimed at increasing production output, improvement of final product quality, and cutting energy costs. The renovation is going on constantly, the whole project will last till 2010", he added. The most significant part of the project in Titan-1 workshop is reconstruction of the white filtration in Titanium Dioxide operations, while in workshop Titan-2 it is installation of four filter presses and two grinding dries. Moreover, it is planned to commission a unit on drying and packaging of copperas heptahydrate in iron oxide pigments production. The company is also going to set up a unit on reverse osmosis for water disalination in a boiler department with a capacity of 300 cubic meters per hour . The total cost of the project will make USD30.2m.
