Aceto Acquires Select Assets of Andrews Paper & Chemical, Co., Inc

Aceto Corporation, a global leader in the sourcing, quality assurance, regulatory support, marketing and distribution of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, specialty chemicals and crop protection products, today announced that it has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire select assets of Andrews Paper & Chemical, Co., Inc.
Andrews Paper & Chemical, founded in 1953, is a leader in the supply of diazos and couplers to the paper, film, and electronics industries. Specific end uses for their products include microfilm, whiteprint ("blueprints" with white backgrounds and blue lines), and photo tooling of printed circuit boards, all of which are new business areas for Aceto. To aid in the transition, Andrews' President, Mr. Harold Kroez, will be joining Aceto as a consultant. Specific terms of the transaction are not being disclosed; however, the Company anticipates that it will be minimally accretive in the first year.
Commenting on the announcement, Vince Miata, President and CEO of Aceto said, "We are very happy with the acquisition of Andrews Paper & Chemical that we have announced today. With the acquisition of Andrews, Aceto will add customers, products and market areas to our Specialty Chemicals segment. We believe that the Andrews business will fit in very nicely with our existing, successful, model and as such, we envision a smooth integration of their business into our Specialty Chemicals business."
