Orgsintez Ltd, based in Novomoskovsk, Tula Region, Russia, started benzene sulphonic acid production at the end of June, 2006, informed its media-service. The acid is utilised in manufacturing doping agents for fuel and diesel oils. Besides, it serves as a catalyst in condensation and polymerisation processes. Benzenesulphonic acid is usually packed in steel cylinders of various capacity. In addition, the company plans to develop another packaging type, namely, the plastic cylinders which will be used alongside with the steel ones. The acid will be delivered to the domestic market and abroad.
