Sibur Holding wants Azot JSC (Kemerovo) to be streamlined

Sibur Holding JSC wants  Azot to be streamlined, announced Alexandr Dyukov , the president of the largest Russian petrochemical holding at his visit in Kemerovo, informed the press service of the company.
At the meeting  with Aman Tuleev, the Governor of Kemerov Region,     Alexandr Dyukov discussed   how the terms of   cooperation agreement between the authorities of Kemerovo Region and  Sibur Holding JSC  were being implemented. The special attention was paid on how  the  large-scale project on Azot modernization  come true. It was in January this year when both documents had been presented and approved.
The first stage of modernization has already started. So,  Sibur Holding JSC  is going to give out around USD120m  for this purpose, namely, for  building a new hydrogen line  and reconstruction of caprolactam, ammonia, carbamide  operations. As the major part of Azot machinery has been fairly worn out, the streamline project will enable this plant not to expand its output, but improve its efficiency. It is important to notice that   Aman Tuleev  totally backs up  the  project  on Azot development.
When talking at the extended meeting with the heads of  Azot departments,  Alexandr Dyukov stated that the project on Azot modernization has to be carried out within 10 years and that Sibur Holding is currently seeking the ways for   investments to back  up the 1-st stage of the project. But, as he noticed, for now the company has  been working  just over  business ideas while the planned investments for 2006 make more than RUR 1bn.
