Chemical industry in Croatia

Croatia, a developed industrial and agrarian country, is located in the South-East of Europe. On 25 June 1991 it declared its independence. Its economic growth is stimulated by up-to-date industrial enterprises and the state support. To date, one of the most growing sectors of Croatia's economy is the chemical industry. The latter increasing at a steady pace is the main subject of our article. In 2010, the country's exports of chemical products reached EUR 1017m, while imports amounted to EUR 2137m.
